Gymnasium/Multipurpose Bldg

After 50+ years of hoping and praying we have been blessed with a beautiful new building.  The Wildcat Gymnasium was dedicated on Saturday, October 22.  About 200 people came for the program and ribbon cutting ceremony.  After reliving some wonderful moments about the school's history, singing praises to God, we were honored by Mackenzie Clay (Kindergarten) and Anna Hasper (8th grade)cutting the ribbon to officially celebrate the completion of the building. Our thanks to everyone who has been involved with Phoenix Christian School since our beginning in 1959.

The 2011 - 2012 school year opened with our students having P.E. on the new sport tile floor.  5,000 one-foot squares are linked together to create a wood-grain floor.  This tow-tone colored floor is the latest technology in sport courts.   This beautiful building comes  complete with restrooms, Athletic Director's office, storage, vending area and  spacious lobby.  

The brick construction will give us years of playing sports and special activities inside the building.  With bleachers lining the east wall of the gym it has the capacity to hold 150 spectators.  A/C units keep the area cool with the biggest amazing fan in the ceiling to keep the air curculation.  A scoreboard and mural add to the interior design.

The girls' volleyball team and boys' and girls' basketball team hosted games this year cutting down on all the away games.  We are excited to have other students body members see us play.  Go Wildcats!

We thank God for the work of so many to make this dream a reality! From the annonymous donor who paid for the building, thoses who contributed to the construction of the facility, to those who donated items for the sports teams, and the many others who gave of their time, talents, and funding to complete the building, our sincerest thanks!
